Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 now available for Nikon Z

Tamron releases its full-frame wide-angle lens for Nikon's Z-mount.

The full-frame Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 lens, previously available only for Sony, is now being released in an identical version suitable for Nikon with Nikon's mirrorless Z-mount.

The lens has the same size as the Sony E-version, but unlike its predecessor from several years ago, the Tamron 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD, it has received a new optical construction to improve image quality, and it features Tamron's linear focus motor (VXD), which according to Tamron provides fast and reliable autofocus for both stills and video. The lens is also compatible with Tamron's software, allowing photographers to customize the lens settings themselves or update firmware.

The front lens is coated with Tamron's Fluorine coating which has water-repellent properties. The filter thread is 67mm and the weight is 550 grams. The minimum focusing distance is 0.18m in the wide-angle position.
